The increasing number of residential areas in North Jakarta has called for the need to have more sanitary facilities. As a state-owned enterprise which has the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, PT KBN did its social duty by building 5 toilets in some villages in Jakarta, such as the ones in Semper Timur sub-district and Cilincing sub-district, North Jakarta.

Jakarta -  PT. Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (Persero), along with two other companies within  KBN, PT Komatsu Reman Indonesia and PT Kyeung Seung received the Mitra Kerja Unggulan 2011 Award from Directorate General of  Bea & Cukai. The award was given during the Business Gathering event which took place at the auditorium of Customs Service and Supervision office, Type A office, Jakarta, on Wednesday, February 29, 2012.

Ministry of Industry proposed that big-scale bonded zones located close to each other be designated as industrial zones. This is aimed to accommodate objections from the businessmen related to the implementation of the regulation of the Minister of Finance No. 255/PMK 04/2012 on bonded zones.

The Ministry of Industry has urged the revision of the regulation of the Minister of Finance No. 255/PMK.04/2011 on bonded zones. The regulation was issued on December 2011. It is considered to pose difficulties to the industry players. Head of Investment Quality and Climate Study Policy from the Ministry of Industry, Arryanto Sagala said that the obligation for bonded zones with an area of less than 1 hectare to be relocated to industrial zones as regulated in the regulation of the Minister of Finance no. 255 is not appropriate. In fact, he said it would give negative impacts to the industrial activities.

Jakarta - The government will perfect the decree of Minister of State-owned Enterprises (Kepmen BUMN) 236/2011 on the delegation of authority and/or granting of authority to director/commissioner. Aspects that need to be improved are related to the validation of work plan and state budget, transfer of personal wealth, and guarantor of the corporate wealth

At the end of 2011, PT. Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (PT. KBN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a Singapore-based automotive company, Motor Image Enterprise Pte. Ltd. The MoU was about the renting and the operation of a warehouse. The signing was done at the head office of Motor Image Enterprise on 25 Leng Kee Road Singapore 15909, Queenstown-Redhill Industrial Zone.

JAKARTA - Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives urged Minister of Finance to revise the regulation of Minister of Finance No. 255 Year 2011 on the amendment of the regulation of the Minister of Finance No, 147 Year 2011 on bonded zones. The regulation was considered to be "burdensome" for domestic industries. "Commission VI has asked the government to revise the regulation of the Minister of Finance on bonded zones" Airlangga Hartanto, Chairman of the Commission VI said, when reading out the concluding remarks of the working meeting conducted at the House of Representatives between the House and Minister of Industry, MS Hidayat, Minister of Finance Agus Martowardojo and Director General of Customs Bea, Agung Kuswandono in Jakarta, Wednesday, February 1.
